Hollywood is a place where it’s common for marriages to end quickly. There are, however, some exclusions to the norm. Although Julia Roberts had bad luck in love at first, she was able to change everything.
Daniel Moder and Julia Roberts just commemorated 20 years of marriage. In Hollywood, a 20-year marriage is nearly unheard of, yet this pair is still deeply in love.
Roberts posted a picture of the couple kissing on Instagram to commemorate the event. Twenty was written in the post’s caption in all capital letters, and stars were placed on either side of the word.
The hashtags she added to the photo implied that the couple had continued to smile and kiss throughout their 20-year marriage. Lovely comments were left on the page from devoted followers and friends.
Because of their special love story and the lovely life they have created for themselves and their children, the couple has gained followers both as performers and as a couple.
While Roberts was filming «The Mexican,» with Brad Pitt as her co-star, Moder and Roberts became friends. Although they are now regarded as one of Hollywood’s most enduring couples, their romance was marred by controversy.
She was known as «The Runaway Bride» when Roberts and Moder first met because she had abandoned previous romances. However, Roberts’ union with Moder was not plagued by her prior relationships.
Makeup artist Vera Moder, who was Moder’s ex-wife, expressed her displeasure with the couple’s union in no uncertain terms. Vera and Moder had just been divorced for one month when the couple tied the knot in 2002.
Vera admitted that Roberts had been wooing Moder while she and her husband were still together. She spoke to Roberts and cautioned:
Danny «won’t change» and «has a wandering eye.»
Vera even went so far as to refer to Roberts as a «husband thief» because they started dating when Moder was still married. She added that Roberts will soon start seeking for a new husband and that the couple’s marriage would not endure.
Although Vera made a concerted effort to portray Roberts as the reason for the breakdown of her marriage to Moder, Moder and Roberts later addressed the situation and told the press that wasn’t the case.
Roberts acknowledged that the timing made it simple to place the blame on her, but she was not the reason for her husband’s divorce. She claimed that because she knew the truth, she didn’t mind pointing the finger at her.
The actress went on to describe what happened in order between Moder divorcing Vera and when he married Roberts. She uttered:
He organized everything independently from me, and I organized my life independently from him.
However, Vera took a long time to get Moder a divorce because she was concerned by the connection between her ex and Roberts. Then, Roberts responded to Vera’s passive-aggressive behavior with a piece of clothes.
Roberts left the scene wearing a handmade shirt with the words «A Low Vera» printed on it while Vera and Moder fought. Many people realized that this was a jab at her lover’s ex-wife for interfering with their relationship.
Roberts continued by paying Vera to expedite the divorce procedure. She paid Vera $40000 to sign the divorce papers, allowing Roberts and Moder to move on with their lives.
Moder and Roberts continue to be one of the most resilient couples in Hollywood despite all of Vera’s disagreements, cautions, and forecasts about their relationship. Roberts has frequently expressed her appreciation for her hubby.
Roberts claimed that her relationship with Moder was the best one she had ever had when speaking to Gwyneth Paltrow in 2018. She revealed:
«My life will never be the same in the most beautiful, inexplicable way,» she said of her first marriage to Danny.
Three children have been born to Roberts and Moder since their 20th wedding anniversary. Their youngest son Henry was born in 2007 and will turn 15 in 2022, while their twins Hazel and Phinneaus, who were born in 2004, will turn 18 in November 2022.
Roberts has acknowledged that she feels conflicted about her children growing up and leaving home now that the twins are in college. Roberts said she was eager for her twins to experience college because she never had the chance to.
She added that she gets «a little light-headed» at the notion of her children attending college, but she was curious to see how it was all going for them because it was something new to her.
Hazel, the couple’s sole child, has earned the moniker «brave» from her mother. When she gave her hair to Wigs for Kids at the age of twelve, that’s when this label was applied. About Hazel, not much else is known.

Hazel’s identical twin brother Phinneaus is the more active child and likes skateboarding and surfing. He has even been seen carrying his skateboard when out with his parents. That is the only information we have about the young man, though.
Henry, the youngest kid of the pair, likes to skateboard but has other hobbies. He engages in extreme activities like riding BMX bikes and performing tricks on ramps, and he is an expert at performing tricks on a trampoline.
There isn’t much information available on the children at this time because the couple is very quiet, which has kept them out of the spotlight. They do, however, have their parents’ unfailing backing in whatever they do.
Roberts believes that their children best display Moder and Roberts, despite the fact that they have a lovely connection that the public admires. She stated:
«We have these three individuals who are simply the purest manifestation of the love we have for one another.»
Roberts continued by stating that her children are her greatest accomplishment in life, surpassing all of the wonderful things she has done in her life and profession as a Hollywood sweetheart. Moder and Roberts, however, are adamant that their kids be given privacy protections.
To give their kids a chance to grow up with some sort of a regular existence, the couple relocated to San Francisco while their kids were still quite small. Roberts wished for her children to develop into independent adults rather than movie star offspring.
The Moder children could grow up with a conventional upbringing since, according to a friend close to the marriage at the time, no one in San Francisco cared or even knew who their parents were.
