A 70-year-old lady from Delaware couldn’t believe her eyes when she discovered she had won a large
sum of money by buying two scratch cards. How many people manage to make a lot of money from
scratch cards? Very little, but this lady was able to pocket the nice sum of 100,000 dollars thanks to her
luck. But the surprises didn’t stop there. The woman told her best friend about her winnings, and
together they went to claim the prize: «My best friend is the first person I told that I won the first prize
of $100,000, and she came with me to get it back,» the woman told lottery officials. A bit out of
superstition, a bit to «reward» herself more, the woman decided to celebrate by buying three additional
tickets from a lottery game.
Incredibly, the woman won the jackpot again, this time of $300,000! She commented, «When I
scratched the $300,000 winning ticket, we just sat there in awe. It was absolutely amazing.» worry about
her financial situation for the rest of her life and, presumably, she will also have something to bequeath
