Sisters give birth without knowing it the same day, in the same hospital: «More than cousins, they are
twins!»

The arrival of a baby is always a source of great joy, both for family and friends: imagine two! The family
of the two sisters in this story must therefore have felt great excitement at the birth of two new
members. The two sisters hadn’t planned to give birth together and, truth be told, hadn’t called each
other recently to find out when or where they would be giving birth to their second child. However, as
luck would have it, the two gave birth on the same day… in the same hospital!

Julie Lallemand and Hélène Lallemand, two sisters aged 31 and 28 respectively, gave birth to their
second child at the same time and, without knowing it, in the same hospital. «I didn’t know that my
sister was also going to give birth soon,» says Julie. «I didn’t know anything when I showed up at Woman
Mother Child Hospital at 5:30 a.m. When I was admitted I gave my maiden name and the nurse told me
another Lallemand had been transferred there a few hours earlier. I was pretty sure it was my sister.
Soon after, I found out I was right.»
At 11:30 a.m., little Luka was born, and at 4:05 p.m., Hugo was born. A surprise for the whole family who
found themselves in the same place, the same day. The two sisters also gave birth in adjacent rooms:
probably, even if they had planned it, it would not have happened with such precision! Now they will be
able to support each other and, above all, they will be able to celebrate the two baptisms of the little
ones on the same day, perhaps even asking for reduced prices from the caterers. Also, they will both
have their birthdays on the same day, as if they were twins:

«We are happy because they will always celebrate their birthdays together. They will grow up together,
they are cousins, but it is as if they were twins.»

What were the chances of such an event occurring? We can only wish the best to this wonderful family!
