A couple leaves a huge tip to a waitress: she bursts into tears and does not know what to say

It’s not often that we are confronted with acts of kindness and generosity so unexpected that we are
almost moved. On the contrary, from time to time, we convince ourselves that altruism is less and less
present around us, and therefore trust in our neighbor tends to decrease.

But fortunately this is not always true, and sometimes there are those who decide to surprise us in a
wonderful way. This is exactly what happened to the American waitress we are going to tell you about,
who wanted to share her story after a long and tiring service that ended for her in a simply incredible
surprise. Let’s see what happened. Working as a server is not a walk in the park: many people are aware
of this. Serving tables and processing orders and customers is quite tiring, and the salary, unfortunately,
is not always satisfactory. Tracey Gerlach, however, always did her job in Florida with a smile, and the
night something special happened to her was no different.

«I love meeting new people and chatting with them, for me, seeing a customer leave satisfied and happy
is a real joy», commented the waitress. And apparently, that evening, fate was ready to reward her good
humor and kindness by introducing her to two very special clients. «There was this couple, younger than
me, with their two young children,» says Tracey , «It was the last table of the evening, and when they
left, I went to clear the table. At that moment, I found a surprise: a check for $1,000 as a tip!» Anyone
faced with such a gift would not know what to say or how to react, and the same was true for our
waitress.

«I followed them out of the restaurant and asked them if that tip was real. They told me it was 100%
real, that I was a wonderful person and that I deserved that money. I I hugged them emotionally, I didn’t
know what to say; they smiled, wished me a good evening and left.» When Tracey returned to the
restaurant and told everyone what had happened , all the staff congratulated her, starting with her
boss, who was delighted to have such a waitress on his team. It is certainly quite rare to witness such an
outpouring of generosity, and we can say that it is precisely these episodes that make us find a little
faith in others.
